Not my picture. I know most people on this site probably see Teslas on a regular basis. But this is the first time I’ve seen more than one in one day. I’ve seen about 6 Model Ses in total, and I THINK 1 Roadster. This is also one of the most oil-dependent areas of the country. Our entire economy is pretty much completely dependent on oil. While other parts of the country are embracing EVs, Alberta has been a bit more, well, cold to them.

I think I speak for quite a few of us city dwellers on here when I say that I can’t leave my house without seeing about nine of the things.

Yup. They’re like Accords in the DC suburbs.

We saw one at the Grand Canyon a couple weeks ago, (I’m not sure if i’d get that far away from a charging station....) We have quite a few back in Seattle - lots of Microsoft, Google, Amazon money...

Yep, plenty down here in Texas (despite the fact that Tesla can’t legally sell them here), though I only saw my first Model X a week ago.

I work for a rental car agency in Silicon Valley. Customers get mad when we tell them we don’t rent tesla’s.
At SFO you might get to see a model S used as a Limousine.

There’s one in my town by the old people home. And another 3 on campus as well. I like them and would like to at least drive one some day.

I live in the SF bay area. Teslas grow on trees here. If you stand on a corner in SF for an hour, you’ll see 50 - maybe more depending on the time of day. They’re still way outgunned by the prius crowd though. This morning I had 5 priuses in front of me at a stoplight and 2 behind. They’re a damn plague.
I hear that you leave food on your counter uncovered, you’ll have Prius problem in 1-2 days and they’re impossible to get rid of.

They are more popular than any other car, with the exception of G-Wagens and Range Rovers, where I live.

My area has a shit-ton of Range Rovers too, but they’re only just starting to adopt the G-Wagon. Up until maybe fairly recently it was borderline socially unacceptable to drive anything fancier than an Escalade/Range Rover/S-Class in Omaha.

It’s social suicide to drive anything but in Beverly Hills.

I hate this. Everyone in the Bay Area has one like it’s suddenly the answer to all their problems and I’m just like no, it’s an oversized golf-cart with a big battery and an iPad. Yes, it’s impressive in that it hasn’t been done before (and will occasionally drive itself without impaling its passenger/hostage) but we don’t need to act like it’s a cure to AIDS or a solution to world hunger. Musk is not god, as much as he tries to be (I’m not religious—disclaimer) and I find it slightly distasteful that he just has a do-no-wrong aura about him which he plays up to some extent.
